Tour Review: August 2, 2003

Miss Jamaica Independence Pageant
August 2, 2003; Robert Treat Hotel, Newark, NJ

by Michael Liccone

Half Pint's uplifting spirits and gifted musical talent rocked the Robert Treat Hotel on August 2, 2003. Guests and event goers of the Miss Jamaica Independence Pageant were shown why Half Pint should have been the main event instead of the after party entertainment.

Pint's stage presence was huge. Sporting a pair of shades and a sparkling bronze blazer, he showed why he is one of best touring Reggae acts. His voice was right on key as he performed a flawless set containing more than an hours worth of his timeless classics such as Winsome, Substitute Lover, Hold On, Mr. Landlord, Cost of Living, Sally, Level the Vibes and many more. Pint was so well received that even after an encore performance he left the crowd yearning for more.

While all good things must come to an end, it was a shame he could not play all night. Hopefully Half Pint will come back to New Jersey in the near future, I don't think you can ever have too much of this good thing!
