ANOTHER international act has been added to the line-up of the January 7 staging of the Shaggy and Friends charity show at Jamaica House.

Rapper Eve joins Lauryn Hill and Deniece Williams as the non-reggae acts for the event organised by diamond-selling reggae artiste Shaggy to raise funds to go towards the construction of a 15-bed cardiac intensive care unit at the Bustamante Hospital for Children in St Andrew.

Eve, who is no stranger to Jamaica, was here earlier this year for the Excellence in Music and Entertainment EME awards, where she not only performed with female deejay Lady Saw, but received the Friend of Reggae Award from event organiser, Radio personality Richard ‘Richie B’ Burgess.

LEGENDARY REGGAE SINGER TO HEADLINE SHOWS IN HAWAII AND JAMAICA IN DECEMBER 2011 / JANUARY 2012

For Immediate Release: The international raggamuffin Reggae singing legend Half Pint will be bringing seasons ‘greetings’ to the Hawaiian Islands and Jamaica this holiday time this month and next. A schedule of nine shows will fill Pint’s Hawaiian Islands itinerary and the artist as been selected to headline both Shaggy’s annual charity show in Jamaica just before New Year’s and the world famous Jazz and Blues Fest in January. Pint will be performing his large catalog of hit songs such as “Mr Landlord,” “Substitute Lover,” “Winsome,” “Just Be Good” and many other fan favorites. Half Pint has enjoyed a long history of success in the international music industry dating back to the early 1980s. His first big hit “Winsome” was later covered by the Rolling Stones in 1986 and the anthemic mega-hit “Greetings” is known worldwide as his signature song. Half Pint is enjoying the success of his single and videp “According To You’”worldwide and a new album release is in store for Pint in 2012 as well as a full worldwide tour.
